Very cool. Of course, the colored lenses (or, filters) give them some zip.

O Lord my God when I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

These photoghaphs are awesome. And it takes a brave person to get that close to the storm to take them. It really shows God’s creations. I truly think He is trying to tell us something in some of these storms. He wants us to wake up and get ourselves ready for our Eternal Life with Him. Please be saved by believing in his Son, Jesus and invite Him into your heart if you have not. Blessings to all who see this. Hannah

These pictures demonstrate awesome beauty, power, and majesty God display in His creation. He controls these awesome storms by His spoken wrod. (Another example of the awesome power of the spoken word of God is recorded in Genesis 1.) The raw power of a tornado is one of the most awesome and fearful displays of power known to man. These pictures also demonstrate the variety God uses in His creation. Each one is a different image of a powerful and potentially destructive storm system, but each image is beautifully distinct. They truly reflect the majesty, power, beauty of God’s influence over His creation. The Apostle Paul was correct when he wrote in Romans 1 that God has revealed Himself in His creation. There is no other way to explain all the factors necessary to create these awesome storm that are so strangely similiar and yet so individually unique. I want to thank the person who forwarded this link to me.

The link for these pictures was sent to me by a dear friend. thise pictures demonstrate the awesome power and majesty of god the Creator of this universe. He controls these massive storms with His spoken word just as He commended Creation into existence by His spoken word in Genesis 1. These pictures also display the beauty and diversity of God in His Power. Although these pictures are all of storm in the midwestern United States, each one is unique in it sturcture and nature of existence. this is the same diversity God uses in creating each of us. the Apostle Paul was correct when he wrote in Romans 1 that creation displays the presence, majesty and power of God. Surely only an intelligent, all powerful God could create and control such awesome displays of divine power.

Thanks for giving Mike Hollingshead the credit for his amazing photographic dance with danger. These images make me very humble.

As awe inpiring and grand as these images are to anyone who feels, even remotely, connected to the universe…it may be worth remembering that they are but images of what are, not even ‘just little raindrops’ in the ‘great ocean’ of this amazing cosmos we are all priveleged to be part of, and the energy it holds.
Thanks for sharing these Mike.

What an awesome display of God’s creation and power. Looking at these beautiful photos displays danger and beauty at once and only proves God’s enormous Power. One may say that it’s the machinations of science that creates these clouds and storms, but who created science? God, in all of His wisdom!

I was born in Nebraska and have personally witnessed many storms such as these. They are both awesome and scary at the same time. Only God could create such beauty. Thanks to Mike Hollingshead for his commitment in storm chasing so that we can all share in the appreciation of Gods work.

It is truely miracoulous the beauty of our earth.. there is examples even in everyday life from simple cloud formations, the sun, moon, and stars even rain and wind.
What is wounderful is that GOD gives us the tools to appreciate it all .. such as cameras and our senses.
Thanks and GOD be with you on your adventures

Fully agree - these storms are simply awesome! This is from a native Nebraskan who is still living on the home place where I grew up.
do have to partially disagree with the statement that filters were used in all the pictures - I have witnessed with my own eyes, some of the undescribable colors showing through & around dangerous cells that are busy building, & I don’t look through filtered glasses!!!
What a witness to God’s powers - certainly makes me feel how insignificant I really am.
Thanks for giving us these breath-taking pictures.

These photos are absolutely spectacular. I agree with Billie–an awesome display of the power and creation of God…for every design, a designer…for every creation, a creator. Thanks to the artist for documenting this phenomena…

THE TRUE POWER AND MAJESTY OF MOTHER NATURE AND OUR AMAZING UNIVERSE BEAUTIFULLY CAPTURED. A WONDERFUL MYSTERY FOR HUMANS TO WORK ON. NOBODY! KNOWS HOW IT ALL HAPPENS YET SO COULD WE KEEP GOD OUT OF IT UNTIL SOMEONE GETS AN EQUALLY GOOD SET OF PHOTOS OF HIM, HER, OR IT PLEASE.

Peter, I haven’t commented on this yet. I can’t resist now. I don’t shun God for anyone! And can we have a picture of mother nature, whoever she is?! btw, these are some great pictures. I’ve been enjoying them very much.

Peter, you said what most people know but don’t want to say it. If you can’t see it, feel it or touch it then it isn’t there. These pictures are facts. Nature is a word that describes the real thing we can look at. If god makes these stormes why would he or she or it knock down so many houses and kill so many people. I would like to think that nature did it instead. And good luck to Mike
