I think the first photo is near to the mountain. The second and third photos are not near to moutain.

That second picture is scary looking. If I saw that rolling over my head I would be heading underground!

The first one - holy crap, that is weird!
The second (especially) and third are very impressive mamatus formations that are fairly common before severe thunderstorms. I’m guessing there was a tornado associated with number 2 just because of how very well-defined and freakin’ huge the clouds are — usually a very good indicator of very unstable atmospheric conditions.
My compliments to the photographer(s).
Mr. Bill

[…] These were taken in Alabama of Katrina as it was “coming in”. Although devastating, there is a bit of beauty in the photos. You can see more photos photos i posted in my blog, such as weird clouds. Go to check it and give the comments. Thanks. […]

Hmmm- Your Katrina photos show up elsewhere as storm photos taken in Kansas and Nebraska in 2002. Hard to know what to believe online. Beautiful photos nonetheless.

If I’m not mistaken, the second and third pictures are of mammatus clouds. They normally indicate a severe thunderstorm that is capable of producing a tornado.
