Brainy Scarecrow Shoos Away Birds
Computer science and engineering students at the University of South Florida in Tampa have created an Intelligent Scarecrow that uses a computer, Internet camera and imaging software to detect birds around fish ponds and scare them away with loud noises and water jets.
It can even send e-mail to warn farmers about bird infestations.
